Queensland cruised to a comfortable victory // Brody Grogan

Queensland will meet ACT/NSW Country in the 2018-19 CA Under 17 Male National Championships Final at Allan Border Field.

Both teams scored comfortable wins in their semi final matches.


Queensland posted a 186-run win against Western Australia.


Mitchell Pascoe (88), Jed Wilson (69) and Will Sanders (40) led Queensland to a commanding total of 8-287.


In reply, Western Australia was bowled out for 101.


Ryan Walker was the star with the ball for Queensland, claiming 4-35 off nine overs.


ACT/NSW Country defeated Victoria Metro by 75 runs.


Batting first, ACT/NSW Country reached 9-267 from their 50 overs, led by Callum Dunkerley (59 not out), Jayden Zahra-Smith (50) and Brock Larance (46).


Will Parker (4-47) and Dylan Timbals (3-33) impressed with the ball for Victoria Metro.


In response, the Victorians were bowled out for 192 in the 40th over.


Zac Sleeman scored 93 off just 74 deliveries, but the Victorians only had two players pass 20 with the bat, as Larance (3-23) and Ben Mitchell (3-22) starred with the ball for ACT/NSW Country.


In the plate matches, NSW Metro defeated Victoria Country, Tasmania was too good for South Australia, and the Cricket Australia XI had a win against the Northern Territory.
